Dear Triangle Area Neighbors & Businesses:
On Monday, October 27, 2008, The Rotary Club of the Capital City will host the 19th Annual Rotary Club of the Capital City Golf Classic at the prestigious Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, the home of the 2008 PGA Champions Tour event. For the third consecutive year, 75% of this event's proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club's event partner, Raleigh Rescue Mission, while 25% of the proceeds benefit the Club's own college scholarship program for Wake County's students. Over 250 players are expected to participate on Prestonwood's three golf courses.
Raleigh Rescue Mission has been helping hurting and homeless women, children, & men in our community to overcome their circumstances and rebuild their lives for over 46 years. The Mission will use the event's proceeds to support their on-site Adult Learning Center, Children's Development Center, and Medical & Pediatric services.
Imagine someone you know being helped by Raleigh Rescue Mission so that: their health & educational problems are effectively addressed; they get a good job based on their newly acquired job skills; and, their pre-school age child's developmental delays are addressed, preparing the child for school. Imagine more hurting people being helped in these ways and more students being given a chance to attend college and become all they can be.
